Ingredients

  • Potatoes
  • Vegetable oil (for frying) you can use any oil but vegetable oil will give you more crispness
  • Salt (for seasoning)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Potatoes:

Start this recipe by gently washing potatoes and peeling of them. Cut these potatoes into Strips. For a perfect French Fries cut the potatoes into ¼ inch. Try to cut evenly for better shape.

2. Soak the Potatoes:

Put the potato strips in cold water for about 35 minutes. This process will remove extra starch from them and make your French fries even better. After soaking, drain the potatoes and put them on a dry kitchen towel.

3. Half fry the Potatoes:

After cutting and soaking the strips now its time to fry pre-fry them. Heat-up your vegetable with low flames then put the stripes and fry for about 3-4 minutes. In this process we are not going to brown them. Now remove the potato strips from the oil and let them drain on a paper towel (paper towel is not necessary, you can put them on a plate to remove extra oil).

4. Full Frying:

Now for the crispy magic! Increase the oil temperature. Fry the potatoes in batches for 2-3 minutes, or until they become golden brown in color. Drain the fries and after this sprinkle with salt.

5. Serve and Enjoy:

Your Restaurant like golden French Fries are ready. Serve them with tomato sauce or ketchup and its ready to get enjoyed
